“39 years under the tower”, the book! You’ll be pleased to know, after 26 years of research, we are now almost ready to publish. You may be aware I am writing the book with Steve Richley, Steve has written several very good circus books, including the posters of Billy Smart Circus, the posters of Bertram Mills Circus and recently Sir Robert Fossett Circus, the definitive visual history. Charlie Cairoli, 39 years under the tower, will follow the same format as the Sir Robert Fossett’s book, A4 hardback, full colour, with estimated pages being 350. It will be in chronological order, and feature many photos and posters throughout his career, also unseen photo’s and articles from the Cairoli family personal collection. We are hoping, to publish before the end of the 2019 circus season. Publication will take place in a very prestigious Blackpool venue!!
250 of these books will be limited edition, numbered and signed by Charlie Cairoli Jnr and another circus legend. The proceeds of the limited edition publication, will go to a children’s charity as decided by Charlie and his family.
